i'm sure this will become increasingly obvious while i play this game more but the art of toilet-bound hanako-kun is GORGEOUS and has no right to be that pretty, but it is and it's incredible.

🎃 i love all of saiko takaki's art for the vampire hunter d manga, but it's an acquired taste. (i love amano's art for the novels, too, but everyone knows amano.) i love how takaki draws eyes and lashes! so i'm a sucker for lashes and hands. which is probably why i love the art and animation for welcome to the ballroom despite their sometimes exaggerated necks.

p.s. i love the gankutsuou and mononoke art style of using textures for filling in clothes, hair, and setting things.

for beautiful art: i started re-reading Ran to Haiiro no Sekai the other day and forgot how gorgeous it was. it's only a manga with scant coloured pages, and i keep forgetting about it when it comes to level banner making...but mayhaps it would be possible. it's just so lushfully detailed.

i also really like mel kishida's style; the atelier games are beautiful, and he also did the designs for hanasaku iroha and kamisama no memo-chou. he also has great original art
